About

AirNexis Therapeutics develops AN01, a handheld dry-powder inhaler for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) that inhibits both PDE3 and PDE4 enzymes at once — relaxing constricted airway muscles while reducing the inflammatory proteins that drive COPD flare-ups. Unlike many inhaled COPD therapies that require external power or complex delivery hardware, AN01 is designed to be used in seconds with no setup. The underlying compound (internationally known as HSK39004) was developed by Haisco Pharmaceutical Group in China; AirNexis holds development and commercial rights everywhere outside China, while Haisco advances a parallel Phase 3 program domestically. The drug has already been tested in over 600 patients across Phase 1 through Phase 3 trials. AirNexis launched in January 2026 with a $200M Series A, backed by a syndicate of life-sciences investors, and is led by a team with prior drug-development experience.
